Takchitas

The takchita, Morocco's ceremonial elegance.

Two layers worn together — a tahtiya underneath and a lighter, richly decorated dfina on top — finished with a jewelled belt: the takchita is the dress of weddings and great celebrations. Discover our takchitas, to buy, to rent or to have made to measure in our Marrakech atelier.

Two layers, one silhouette

The tahtiya, often in velvet or satin, gives the takchita its colour and structure. The dfina on top — chiffon, organza or embroidered lace — brings lightness and movement. Sfifa trims, aakad buttons and gold or silver embroidery unite the two layers.

The belt completes the look and marks the waist. We help you choose it together with your takchita during the fitting.
